New Jersey, known as the “Garden State,” symbolizes “freedom and prosperity.” It boasts a vibrant cultural mosaic. Edison, one of its small cities, is renowned for being one of the best places to live, inhabited by travelers from various countries. Among them are a few of us, once wandering the streets of Edison in search of familiar Chinese tea aromas.

Fujian, an evergreen “green treasure trove,” is famed as “China’s foremost tea region.” It is home to white tea, the ancestor of black tea, and the origin of oolong tea. Its tea culture, which began in the Tang Dynasty, has been passed down through generations. With lush tea trees, the harvested leaves reach millions of households. We aspire to bring these leaves to Edison. So, we crossed the ocean, from 115°50′E to 74°22′W.

Instead of searching for the perfect milk tea, we decided to brew one ourselves. Mihara crafts a cup of milk tea to create a resonance, captivating both Chinese and foreign friends with Chinese tea.
